Reclaim the Territory in Arcade Archives VOLFIED
Prepare yourself for another blast from the past. Hamster Corporation is delighted to announce that Arcade Archives VOLFIED is launching today on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. It is the latest addition to their Arcade Archives series, which faithfully reproduces many classic masterpieces.
VOLFIED is a line-drawing puzzle action game released by TAITO back in 1989. In the game, players will pilot the Monotros to drive out the aliens from their home world using the ship’s laser to take back the captured territory. Players must reclaim 80% of the stage to come out victorious at every level. However, it won’t be an easy task because enemies can destroy the ship just by coming in contact with the ship or an incomplete line.
As usual, the game will be available digitally on the PlayStation store and Nintendo eShop for $7.99. And just like any other game in the series, it uses the Japanese ROM for the main part. The options menu and manual are available in Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
Players will get to change various game settings such as the difficulty. They can even reproduce the atmosphere of an arcade display at any time. There is even a high-score leaderboard as well for everyone to compete with one another.
