Octopath Traveler 2 Preview

Octopath Traveler II is a sequel to the 2018 role-playing game Octopath Traveler. The game takes place in the continent of Solistia, 300 years after the events of the first game. There are three regions in this continent. This includes the Kingdom of Aesfrost, the Republic of Flamebringer, and the Holy Land of the Leaf.

The player controls eight different characters, each with their own unique story and goals. Moreover, the stories of the eight characters are intertwined, and the player can choose to play them in any order they like. The game features a turn-based combat system similar to the first game. However, there have been some improvements, such as the ability to break enemies’ shields and the addition of new job classes.

It also features a new day/night cycle, which affects the world and the encounters that the player will have. For example, certain NPCs will only be available at certain times of day, and certain enemies will only spawn at night.

Octopath Traveler II is a visually stunning game, featuring the same HD-2D graphics as the first game. The design and the animation of the characters look brilliant. Even the world is full of awesome details.

The game has received critical acclaim, with reviewers praising its visuals, music, story, and combat system. It has also been a commercial success, selling over 1 million copies in its first week of release.
