Final Fantasy XVI Soars To Success With Three Million In Sales
Final Fantasy is one of the biggest franchises in history, as it set trends in the RPG genre and tells fantastic stories. The game releases exclusively on PlayStation 5 on June 22nd and has soared to success since its release. The game’s success was expected, as its demo was well received and fans were patiently waiting to jump into a massive world. Square Enix announced that the game hit three million in total shipments and digital sales. Furthermore, interested fans can jump into the game’s demo as well.
Via its Twitter, Square Enix stated, “We’re delighted to announce we’ve shipped and digitally sold 3 million copies of Final Fantasy XVI on PlayStation 5. Thank you for your support!” Moreover, the game is described as follows, “An epic dark fantasy world where the fate of the land is decided by the mighty Eikons and the Dominants who wield them.” Thus, players as Clive Rosfield must fight against the Dark Eikon Ifrit in a story of great emotion, tragedy, sacrifice, sadness and vengeance.
Additionally, despite the game being exclusive to PlayStation 5 at this stage, as a PC gamer, fans of the platform should be excited that Sony has begun to break down the walls of exclusivity. Also, with Last of Us, God of War and Spider-Man being brought to PC, it is only a matter of time until Final Fantasy XVI and Spider-Man 2 also hit PC in the future.
