Roguelite Deckbuilder Power Chord Releases On PC In Late January

Big Blue Bubble, an indie developer, has announced that its upcoming roguelite deckbuilder will be releasing on PC via Steam on January 26th. Power Chord will also release on the Nintendo Switch at a later date. Interested fans can wish list the game on Steam ahead of its release. Furthermore, the developers unveiled a release date trailer showing off the game and some of its upcoming content. Thus far, there is no confirmed price for the game.

Jamie Boylan, Big Blue Bubble’s art director, describes the game as follows, “In that same spirit, Power Chord evolves the roguelike deck builder with significantly more strategic options and complexity than its forebear while celebrating the visual legacy of rock, from demonic accessories to eye-catching album-cover visuals.”

In the game, players must build a powerful deck of cards based on a band-mate’s personal life while banging out at a concert tour for the ages. Each role in the band has its own cards and skillsets and players must make difficult choices as they build their deck and attempt to win the game.
