Boyfriend Dungeon, the slowly-percolating dungeon crawler and dating sim from Kitfox Games, got some new gameplay footage during today’s Guerrilla Collective Showcase. The short video showed off new customization details, along with some new insights on the weapons themselves. You can check it out for yourself below!
For a quick refresher, Boyfriend Dungeon is all about exploring ‘the dunj’ with cute weapons that you also date. The term ‘boyfriend’ is kind of a misnomer at this point, since both you and the weapons are not limited to any particular gender. Whatever variety of pairing you’re imagining is probably quite possible here.
The video highlights a short conversation between you and Sunder, a Talwar with a bit of a reputation. One of his friends has taken the time to warn you that maybe he’s not boyfriend material? Also it’s made clear that the switch from sword to sexy dude can happen easily and often. Which state is the default? If they forget themselves in a moment of passion, will you find yourself on top of a claymore without any pants on? Hopefully all of these questions will be answered when the game is eventually released for PC and the Nintendo Switch.
