Alan Wake Will Arrive on the Xbox Game Pass to Celebrate Its 10 Year Anniversary

We’ve All Missed You Alan

Xbox fans will be happy to hear that Alan Wake is going to be available on the Xbox Game Pass in order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of when the game first launched in 2010. Alan Wake might not have had the same blockbuster status of other Xbox 360 games at the time, but that does not mean it was not appreciated when it released.

Alan Wake

Alan Wake is a survival horror/ action-adventure game that surrounds the mysterious and supernatural events that are occurring in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. While combat does exist, it does not present itself in a point and shoot way all of the time. There are dozens of different ways to approach enemies and environmental challenges, namely using your flashlight to help.

Without giving anything away from the story, it is truly a one of a kind experience and will stick with you long after you have completed the game. Story-driven games are not nearly as common as they once were ten years ago, so it will be a nice change of pace to the modern gaming scene.

Despite the relative success of Alan Wake, there was never enough incentive to make another game. While this has upset many people who are part of the cult following behind Alan Wake, it should be pointed out that sequels might not always be the best thing for a franchise. There are countless examples of games and movies being ruined due to a poorly made sequel. Especially after a game doesn’t even need it.

For those who are not aware, the Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service that gives players access to a dizzying amount of games to stream and play. If you have an itch to play older games from the Xbox 360 era, it is something that you should definitely look into.

Alan Wake will become available on the Xbox Game Pass next week.
