With the March 5th release date looming, Netflix dropped the Castlevania season 3 trailer. Surprising no one, the whole thing is jam-packed with sinister, gravelly voices making casual statements about murderous intentions. Also there’s a healthy dose of actual violence! Even more also, it looks totally rad.
SPOILERS AHOY – When we last checked in on Travis Belmont and friends, Dracula (again with the spoiler warning) is super, duper dead. This has left a giant power vacuum. Thus, evil forces are making big moves all over the world. Every vampire noble still alive is looking forward to a colossal human harvest. We’re all just about ripe, you see.
Netflix was even kind enough to bless us with a teaser-sized blurb about the upcoming season. “Belmont and Sypha settle into a village with sinister secrets, Alucard mentors a pair of admirers, and Isaac embarks on a quest to locate Hector.” Each and every one of these scenarios sounds perfectly suited for a blend of dry wit and gory violence. In case you’ve mostly forgotten the byline, Netflix’s Castlevania pulls zero punches when it comes to vampire-based action. Expect a lot of humans being artfully re-arranged in arterial bursts of inspiration and passion. Season 3 drops on March 5th. Check out the trailer below!
