It’ll Cost You $12 a MonthÂ
Fallout 76 has just introduced a new premium membership that fans can sign up to for $12 a month. The introduction of premium membership is largely due to the new arrival of private servers. For a while, it appeared as though Fallout 76 players would be able to get access to them for free. But now it is clear that they are going to hand over money to use. For those who are not good at math, it will cost you $144 a year.
This news has felt like a massive slap in the face to Fallout 76 fans after having to endure one of the worst game launches in recent memory. When Fallout 76 launched it was nearly unplayable. Bugs, game-ending glitches and more were all littered across the game. Not to mention that there was almost nothing to do once the game actually worked. To call Fallout 76 a let down would be a massive understatement.
To no one’s surprise, many of the loyal fans that have stuck around the Fallout franchise have taken to Twitter to voice their outrage. Many have claimed that Bethesda has become out of touch with its fans and reality as a whole. Many are puzzled as to why they would ever do something that was almost guaranteed to anger an already upset and jaded fanbase.
On the bright side, you’ll only need one of your friends to be a premium member in order to get access to private servers. As long as one person has a pass, then you can invite your buddies to your own world. However, as soon as that player leaves the server, the game will abruptly end. Best of luck.
Fallout 76 is currently available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
