We Fear the Unknown… like Price!
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is not even out yet, but already fans are looking to the future. It’s launching on All Hallows’ Eve, or Halloween as the kids say, which is over a month away. Still, we are getting announcements that there is going to be paid Luigi’s Mansion 3 DLC. The only solid details about the DLC is that it will be A) paid, and B) multiplayer. No price, no release date, no content specifics. In fact, there’s just a small blurb mentioning it Nintendo’s website.
“Paid DLC will come to Luigi’s Mansion 3 in the future, adding new content to the ScareScraper and ScreamPark multiplayer modes.” That’s all we really have to go on, at the very bottom of the page. We already know that in Luigi’s Mansion 3 multiplayer, two people can play on the same console, each with a joycon; one as Luigi, one as Gooigi. Up to eight players can play together in ScareScraper, which is a wave/floor-based mode, and ScreamPark, which is a party mode.
All we know about the DLC is that those two modes will be expanded upon in some way. ScareScraper is returning from Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon on the 3DS, so we kind of know what fans will be getting into and can speculate as to what will come with the DLC. ScreamPark, on the other hand, may be like a ghost-themed Mario Party-style bunch of mini-games or a score attack mode, but not knowing the base mode, we really have no idea what the DLC for that mode will be. Luigi’s Mansion 3 will be out on October 31st on Nintendo Switch.
