Borderlands 3 Writer Wants Tales From the Borderlands Season 2

So, You Want to Hear Another Story?

Tales From the Borderlands started its release in 2014. The Telltale standalone expanded the Borderlands universe with new and familiar characters. The season ended with some questions left unanswered, but the recent Borderlands 2 DLC Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary, as well as the upcoming Borderlands 3 will be including some of its characters. The writers of the main Borderlands series obviously like the Telltale game enough to include it in the canon and they would even like to see a Tales From the Borderlands Season 2 happen if at all possible. Telltale’s recent Second Wind may give them an opportunity for just that.

Tales From the Borderlands Season 2

In the past year or so, Telltale Games had been in a nosedive and closed its doors for a while. Games were being delisted on various digital stores as well. After being bought by LCG Entertainment, news had gotten out that some of the old Telltale titles may even be continued with additional seasons. These titles include Minecraft, Guardians of the Galaxy, Batman, and yes, Borderlands. Borderlands 3’s co-lead writer Sam Winkler spoke to ComicBook.com about Tales From the Borderlands and he said he would love to see that story through if given the opportunity.

“I would love to pickup where Tales from the Borderlands Season 1 left off,” Winkler said. “There’s so many unsolved threads there, and even though we brought some characters into Borderlands 3, there’s still a lot of question marks.” In the Commander Lilith DLC, Vaughn is a prominent character from Tales From the Borderlands and Scooter’s death results in a side-quest line as well. Ryhs is also making his return in Borderlands 3.
