Greedfall Is Incoming Later This Year
Greedfall, from developer Spiders Games and publisher Focus Home Interactive, was originally revealed back in the beginning of 2017 and until E3 2019 there hadn’t been any updates on when fans could expect their latest title to drop. During E3 however, they released a brand new story trailer complete with a release window of September of this year. Now, less than a month later, they’ve finally revealed the exact date it’s going to drop.
Earlier today both Spiders Games and Focus Home Interactive announced that Greedfall, the upcoming RPG game from Spiders, is going to be released on September 10th. This is already quite a busy launch window as Gears 5 is set to drop on the same day, and Borderlands 3, NHL 20, and Grid are all released just a few days later, so hopefully Greedfall doesn’t get lost somewhere in the middle. While the developers didn’t release a new trailer for the game, you can check out the story trailer from E3 below.
GreedFall is an RPG that’s set in the 17th century, in a world embedded with magic. And if you’re unfamiliar with the game or its story you can check out the official description from the game’s website here, “The Old World is dying. The continent is polluted, overpopulated, and plagued by a deadly, incurable disease. Its weary population grows desperate. But there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon – an Island, remote and hidden, has been discovered. Teer Fradee… a land spared by the Malichor plague, a haven of life, wild and untampered by mankind. It is the promise of riches, but also represents the best hope for mankind to find a cure to the Malichor.”
Greedfall is set to release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 10th. No word thus far whether there’s going to be a Nintendo Switch port for the game.
