More Heroes for Everyone
Dota 2 has a breathtaking amount of heroes. You could have been playing the game regularly for months or even years and still not have been familiarized with every hero. There are that many. However, Dota Underlords does not have this issue at all. It actually is missing a lot of the main heroes from the base game. This does appear as though it is going to change, however.
Tyler McVicker, the man who runs the Valve News Network Youtube channel, has walked through the changes that come with the most recent update to the game. There will be a ton of new skins and other cosmetic items. But what matters the most is the inclusion of new characters. There are going to be 16 heroes that will make their way over from Dota 2 to Dota Underlords. They will be……
- Chen
- Clinkz
- Dark Seer
- Dazzle
- Earthshaker
- Pangolier
- Riki
- Rubick
- Spectre
- Storm Spirit
- Sven
- Undying
- Vengeful Spirit
- Weaver
- Zeus
How they will work in the game is unknown at this time. All of the heroes have very different and very unique skills and abilities. So working them into the game is going to be a challenge.
More information has come out that Dota Underlords will also be receiving a couple of new features. One of these is a replay mechanic that is being called turbo mode. It has been speculated that this is simply going to speed up the tempo of the game a bit. Sort of like what they currently have in Dota 2. Turbo mode will just give you faster animations as well as amass units quickly.
Dota is a huge franchise, so it was only a matter of time before they branched out to try their hand at something different. What do you guys think of Dota Underlords?
