Original Story:
Marvel’s Avengers will launch on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia on May 15th, 2020, according to an official Monday announcement made at Square Enix’s E3 2019 presentation.
This upcoming four-player co-op game features Captain America (voiced by Jeff Schine), Iron Man (voiced by Nolan North), Black Widow (voiced by Laura Bailey), Hulk (voiced by Troy Baker), and Thor (voiced by Travis Willingham). Each hero has their own unique abilities and players will have to work together in order to succeed.
According to the game’s developers at Crystal Dynamics, Marvel’s Avengers will have several free post-launch content updates that will be released at “a regular basis”. These updates will include new heroes and new regions. Also, there won’t be any lootboxes or pay-to-win features.
As for the game’s story, it begins during a San Francisco celebration for the newly constructed Avengers HQ in the city. However, after bad guys attack the city, the heroes end up causing much collateral destruction and death. This leads to the Avengers becoming outlawed and disbanding.
Not much else was revealed about the story and very little gameplay was showcased. However, it was said during the presentation that a gameplay demo would be shown at the game’s booth at E3. Additionally, PS4 users will get early beta access and “unique benefits” that’ll be announced at a later date.
