Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Just Got Bigger
During its February 13th Direct presentation, Nintendo announced a special DLC episode for the adorable and awesome Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Well, we’re here to remind everyone that is finally available today via the Nintendo Switch eShop.
Dubbed Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker — Special Episode, the DLC contains 18 new challenges among five new courses. It doesn’t cost much (only £5.39 / $5.99) and is also available in a bundle pack with the main game if you have yet to play it. If you already pre-purchased the content since its announcement last month, you’ve probably been enjoying one of those five new courses: Shifty Shrine. Now, the remaining four can be devoured right this instant.
As a side note, the DLC pack is NOT available on the 3DS or Wii U versions.
Also announced back in February was a free update to the game that added the Partner Adventure Mode, a two-player co-op mode that lets players explore every level in the game (plus the DLC) with a friend. This allows Captain Toad and Toadette to team up, or Captain Toad and Purple Captain Toad.
We came away super impressed with the game when it was released on back in July last year on Switch. Here’s what we said in our review:

The game is by no means hard, and you’ll likely finish it over the course of a weekend – but for those that are set on completing every objective and finding every Pixel Toad – you’ll be sure to squeeze many more hours out.”
