Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Are Releasing for the Switch This Year
Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are two new core Pokémon RPGs that will be launching on the Nintendo Switch sometime in late 2019, Nintendo announced on Wednesday.
Both games are set in a new region named Galar and this region will contain new Pokémon for players to capture and battle. Galar is also said to have “contemporary” cities, snowy mountains and grassy plains to explore.
The three starter Pokémon include new creatures named Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. Grookly is a chimp Grass Pokémon, Scorbunny is a rabbit Fire Pokémon, and Sobble is a Water Pokémon.
According to Nintendo, both games will launch simultaneously worldwide so fans shouldn’t expect any regions to officially get the game earlier than others.
