BioWare Teases Post-Launch Roadmap for Anthem
This past weekend marked the first time BioWare opened up testing of their upcoming title Anthem and though the VIP demo may have come to an end, the developer has recently teased some sweet post-launch content. And what about the possibility of PvP? Bioware’s Scylla Costa shared some new information in a recent interview.
In a recent interview with MMOGames.com Scylla Costa, producer of Anthem, opened up about some of the post-launch content which includes a brand new and exciting region. Here’s what he had to say, “There are a lot of things coming post-launch. We have many different teams who have been working on that stuff for a few weeks already, so you can see different cosmetic items, different creatures, maybe a new region to explore! You’ll have different events, different weather states. Anthem is a dynamic world; if you have rain right now it applies to your jets you can fly for longer as it cools down your jets. You can use electricity and therefore create larger effects. Try to imagine that we can create different weather states and apply that so not only are new parts of the world going to behave differently, but old parts of the world as well. If it’s day or if it’s night some creatures may show up or may be more powerful. We can play with all of these variables and create a new narrative for the game.”
Up until now, if you’ve paid any attention to the open world RPG, you are probably aware that Anthem is exclusively PvE. But what about the possibility of PvP down the line? Many in the community have been requesting that BioWare reconsider and add the game mode to Anthem, so what does BioWare think? When asked about what the future holds on this front, Costa stated, “PvP is not available for launch but it’s going to depend on the feedback that we get from the player base.” Sounds like they haven’t fully written it off the books, so if you want to see this addition, get on social media and let BioWare know!
Anthem is set to release on February 22nd for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. What do you think about the post-launch content? Are you hoping for PvP to enter the Anthem realm? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and don’t forget to keep it locked for updates!
