Bang On Your Drum All Day
Love drums? Love drumming games? Gosh, this is great news then. Taiko no Tatsujin, the arcade drumming rhythm series, is coming to PS4 and the Nintendo Switch this fall. You can download demos for both games right this second, if you’re so inclined.
The two different versions are known as Drum ‘n Fun! and Drum Session! Both versions will have a short selection of songs from the final build of the game. Tracks include “Carmen Prelude” and “Tsunagre! Hirogare! Uchiagare!” The full game is being released on November 2nd, 2018.
For a quick look at the game, you can check out the trailer embedded below. The final game will have around 70 songs in total, including tracks from Dragon Ball Z, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Frozen for some reason. There’s also characters you can use in Guest Session games, although I can’t imagine it impacts gameplay at all. Not that this would stop me from playing as Hatsune Miku. The Nintendo Switch version, Drum ‘n Fun!, uses Joy-Con motion controls. It’s a more faithful adaptation of the original arcade setup, if that’s the kind of experience you’re going for.
