Young Lara Is Quite the Climber in Shadow of the Tomb Raider!
Several recently leaked screenshots from Shadow of the Tomb Raider show a young Lara Croft climbing around what appears to be Croft Manor back in its heyday. You can check them out below (credit to Twitter user RAMPAGA for posting these).
This isn’t the first time that Croft Manor was featured in the current reboot Tomb Raider series. It was seen in a few cutscenes in 2015’s Rise of the Tomb Raider and was even the setting for that game’s DLC Blood Ties.
It isn’t clear when this Croft Manor sequence takes place in Shadow of the Tomb Raider but it possibly takes place sometime in the beginning of the game. It also currently isn’t known whether or not we’ll see Lara’s father, Richard Croft. He was a minor character in Rise of the Tomb Raider but this flashback sequence in Shadow could make him a more significant presence in the story.
