A Game That’s Actually Perfect For The System
Why is it perfect for the Nintendo Switch? There’s just no better example of a game that needs to be seen to be believed. Someone asks “What the hell is Windjammers?” You then immediately bust out your Nintendo Switch and Boom! Life of the party. Or the board meeting or the lunch break or whatever.
Originally a Neo Geo title from back in 1994, Windjammers is a sports arcade game centered around disc-throwing. There’s five different game modes to mess with, online multiplayer, two unlockable mini-games and six different massively-muscled characters to choose from. All rendered in the most delightfully 90’s color scheme you can imagine. I’m just body-slammed with nostalgia by this color palette.
Sadly, there’s neither a price point nor a release date for the Nintendo Switch version. In the meantime, you can grab the less-portable PS4 version or the less popular PS Vita version right now. Although there’s no guarantee that those versions of the game will cause a musclebound dude in wraparound shades to manifest on your couch. Maybe you don’t need that in your life, I’m not here to judge. You can check out the badass trailer below.
