The Legendary RPG Reaches Consoles
Two weeks shy of its anniversary, Divinity Original Sin 2 is now available on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Published by Bandai Namco, the definitive copy by Larian Studio comes with more features, content, and ways to play.
The beauty of Divinity: Original Sin 2 on consoles is that that version has been beefed up by a multitude of updates and tweaks. In addition, the studio has taken the extra time to refine and add content. There is now over 40 hours of additional story content for console players to enjoy. An enhanced multiplayer experience is also part of the package. The revamped arena mode comes with 16 new characters, and you can play online or solo. If you’re in the company of others, playing the game together is as easy as exchanging the controller.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition offers the freedom of a sandbox RPG, encouraging improvisation and experimentation, with rules made to be bent rather than followed. The game takes place in the world of Rivellon, where players can go anywhere, talk to anyone (living, dead, or non-human), and fully interact with the game world like no other RPG.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 launched last year to wide critical acclaim and went on to win numerous awards, including the official Gamescom Award for Best RPG. It sits as 2017’s highest rated PC game on Metacritic. The game has received praise from all sources for its unparalleled freedom of choice, branching story paths, and the ability to solve any quest in just about any creative way the player can surmise.
