Stick Fighting Is Best Fighting, You Know
Okay, so it’s not JUST for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, but you get the picture. Razer is making a PS4 Arcade Stick! Depending on your thoughts on both Razer products and Arcade Sticks in general, this is excellent news. After all, if you’re going to spend a bundle on fighting game gear, it should be of the highest quality.
Admittedly, my knowledge of Arcade Sticks is somewhat lacking. But I do know that any Stick worth its salt uses Sanwa buttons. And so does this one! Not only that, but it comes with a proper screwdriver for modding purposes. If this seems like a silly thing to throw in, clearly you’ve never been cornered by a rabid arcade stick enthusiast regarding the infinite benefits of customization and just, the perfect setup. Although really, so long as thing has octagonal inputs, what else do you need?
Razer’s Panthera Arcade Stick comes with 8-way directional inputs as well as something called tournament gaming mode. The whole rig will set you back $219.99 USD and is coming out sometime next month. Seriously, when was the last time you tried using an Arcade controller with only 4-way inputs? It’s like pushing a shopping cart across an ice-skating rink.
