Lots of Support Coming to The Crew 2, Gator Rush Update Launching in September
With The Crew 2‘s June 29th release date speeding ever closer, Ubisoft has revealed their post-launch plans for the open-world racing game.
Ubisoft has confirmed that “ample new content” for The Crew 2 will be released through regular updates. Additionally, a Season Pass — priced at $49.99 — was announced for the game. It will be included for buyers of the Gold Edition and Motor Edition.
The Season Pass will include the following:
- Three exclusive vehicles on day one, the Porsche 911 TURBO 3.6, the SUPERMARINE SPITFIRE MK IX and the ICE Marine BLADERUNNER 35.
- Seven days early access to the monthly added vehicles, totalling 22 vehicles
- One exclusive house location as well as two exclusive outfits
- VIP 20 per cent discount off of the game store
Ubisoft is promising that “major free updates” will occur every three months which will “expand the game’s experience, enrich its world and bring new disciplines, modes and features.”
The first big update, Gator Rush, will launch September 2018 and will add a tropical spin to the game, introducing “bouncy fun and wacky races” while also adding the Hovercraft discipline. Gator Rush will be free and will also bring five new vehicles to The Crew 2’s lineup. Players can expect a new “Legendary” rarity level on performance that is collected in the game. Two new vehicles will be added to the car lineup every month.
The second major update, due in December 2018, will add more vehicles and game modes including a brand new PvP mode.
“Continuous expansion and renewal has always been at the core of our vision for the franchise,” said Ahmed Boukhelifa, Ivory Tower Managing Director. “For players, this means they will always find new activities and things to discover – or re-discover from another perspective.”
