A Recent Job Listings Points To A New First-Person Shooter IP
Several job listings found on the official website of Total War & Alien: Isolation developer Creative Assembly show that they’re looking for new developers to work on an unannounced “First Person Tactical Shooter IP”.
Creative Assembly is currently looking for a Senior UI Artist, a Lead Environment Artist, a Technical Artist and a Technical Animator for their new IP. It should be noted that the listings say that the team that developed Alien: Isolation are hiring for this tactical FPS.
Not much else can be gleaned from these listings other then this unannounced game will likely not be a new Alien game. Though Creative Assembly’s studio director Tim Heaton said in 2015 that an Alien: Isolation sequel wasn’t “out of the question”, the description for the aforementioned job listings call for developers for a “new IP”.
Whatever this new game is, the fact that it’s a tactical FPS speaks to how flexible Creative Assembly is as a developer. They’ve mostly developed RTS games over the years and have never released a tactical shooter before so this new project could definitely be something interesting.
What do you think that this unannounced IP could be? Will it be a modern-day tactical FPS or maybe something sci-fi? Go ahead and speculate to your heart’s content down in the comments section!
