Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Sells 500,000 Copies in Just Four Days

The Critically Acclaimed Sequel Is Selling like Crazy!

Warhammer: Vermintide 2, the sequel to the first-person 2016 melee game, has sold 500,000 copies in just four days! The game released on March 8th to rave reviews.

“We are proud and happy that gamers worldwide have taken Warhammer: Vermintide 2 to their hearts,” said Martin Wahlund, the CEO of the game’s developer Fatshark. “500,000 games sold was a milestone that we had, but not less than a week after release.”

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is currently only out for the PC but the PS4 and Xbox One releases are expected later this year. Betas for the console version will be available this Spring. It currently costs $29.99 on Steam. There’s also a Collector’s Edition that costs $44.99 but if you bought the standard edition and want to upgrade then it’ll cost you $15.99 to do so.

According to the game’s official description on Steam, players get to choose between five heroes and have 15 playstyles or “careers” to choose from. They can also customize their gear and take on challenges in the game’s Heroic Deeds System.

“Prepare to be challenged like never before as you and your team desperately try to survive the never-ending onslaught,” the description reads. “The only thing standing between utter defeat and victory is you and your allies. If you fall – so will the Empire.”
