Upcoming St. Patrick’s Day Event Teased for Call of Duty: WWII

Is Call of Duty: WWII Getting a Brand New Event?

With all the recent hype over the newly revealed Black Ops 4, it’s sometimes easy to forget the current installment is still alive and well. Of course, maybe that’s because it’s been two weeks since we saw the Resistance event disappear from Call of Duty: WWII. If you’re itching for a new event, you may actually be in luck this St. Patrick’s Day.

It would seem that Sledgehammer Games has begun to tease a brand new event coming to the first-person shooter in the near future. At least, it has to be if it’s focused on St. Patrick’s Day anyway. If you’re looking to get lucky this St. Patrick’s Day Call of Duty style, the developer’s got you covered, as they tweeted a big tease earlier today about a new event. The official Call of Duty Twitter account has posted a GIF of Captain Butcher, from Headquarters, wearing St. Patrick’s Day themed attire that reads “Good luck is hard to come by, soldier. Brace yourself for what’s to come.” You can check this out below.

Now, though there isn’t exactly a date or an official announcement, Sledgehammer Games has previously mentioned that fans of WWII were going to be in for a “stacked” update this week. And after all, St. Patrick’s Day is this coming Saturday and if you don’t quite recognize Captain Butcher, that’s because he only comes out to play during in-game events like Winter Siege and The Resistance. We’ll just have to wait for more updates from Sledgehammer over the coming days.

In other Call of Duty: WWII news, Sledgehammer has recently made Prop Hunt and Gun Game permanent fixtures in the game considering the massive success each game mode saw during their temporary stints in the latest COD title.
