The Beginning of a New Horrific Adventure Starts on the Go
A classic horror title has finally made its way to the portable console. Fans of the Nintendo Switch can partake in all the critically-acclaimed fear on the go with Outlast 2.
Unlike in any previous release, Outlast 2 on the Nintendo Switch comes with a story mode. The mode allows players to experience the dark ambiance of the world without the difficulty. It exists to let players immerse themselves in the story without the burden of panic attacks. There are fewer challenges, fewer enemy encounters, and it’s arriving as a free update for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
You are Blake Langermann, a cameraman working with his wife, Lynn. The two investigative journalists are willing to take risks and dig deep to uncover the stories no one else will dare touch.
Following a trail of clues that started with the seemingly impossible murder of a pregnant woman known only as Jane Doe, the players are taken miles into the Arizona desert by the investigation, to a darkness so deep that no one could shed light upon it, and a corruption so profound that going mad may be the only sane thing to do.
Thanks to a new platform, indie developer Red Barrels can introduce more wary souls to the success that is Outlast 2. “We’re excited to have a completely new audience discovering the Outlast universe on Nintendo Switch. The feedback from Outlast: Bundle of Terror has been overwhelmingly positive.” said Philippe Morin, President of Red Barrels, in a press release. “With Outlast 2, they’ll be able to keep exploring the horrors we cooked up for them.”
You can find Outlast 2 for the Nintendo Switch here, a copy that comes with the main game and Whistleblower DLC. Look forward to more updates as time goes by. Hopefully, re-releases for Nintendo Switch will maintain the trend of adding more content. Stay tuned.
