The NieR Kickstarter Project Has Reached Its First Stretch Goal
French publisher Third Editions today announced their met stretch goal for Yoko Taro (NieR: Automata, Drakengaard). A work that details the background of NieR and the mind behind it, the piece is due for release in North America this year.
Just so happens, Third Editions reached its $74,000 stretch goal with 20 days left in its Kickstarter run. Thanks to 1,044 backers, fans of NieR and the creative genius behind it will have access to the inner workings of both. But the rewards may even expand further if the publisher reaches the next goal. $123,000 can hasten the English translation and deliver the standard and collector editions in 2018 instead of a later date.
For more on Taro Yoko (Nier: Automata, Drakengard) and its stretch goals, you can visit its Kickstarter page. News of this project comes hot off the heels of NieR: Automata’s new milestone. After selling 2.5 million copies, the game witnessed a 50% price cut. This is the same title that performed beyond publisher Square Enix’s financial expectations in 2017. Thus, all we’re missing now is a Special Edition of the game. Time will tell if we get one. Stay tuned for updates as time goes by.
Happy gaming.
