HD Graphics, Local Co-op, and More!

Nicalis has announced Code of Princess EX, an updated version of their 2012 3DS action RPG, for Nintendo Switch. Check out the trailer below.

The EX tagged to the end of its name isn’t just for show. This new version improves upon the fan favourite original by adding all-new HD graphics and local co-op. New gameplay additions and enhancements include better AI, updated balancing, and a new level-up system for your characters.

Code of Princess EX tells the story of Princess Solange of DeLuxia on her journey to save her world from monsters who are attempting to overtake the human race. With her bad-ass blade, the DeLuxcalibur, and an entourage of skilled fighters, she embarks on a journey to confront the monster uprising and discover its secret origins.

For those that missed out in 2012, Code of Princess EX is a hack-and-slash action game where players can move between three different planes at any time. There are lots of powerful combos, as well as lock-on and burst systems for maximum damage to enemies. There are 50+ playable characters in the game that can be upgraded through its various game modes, including Campaign, Free Play and Bonus Quests.

Code of Princess EX is scheduled to release in Summer 2018 for $39.99. It will be available in digital and in physical form. The retail launch edition comes with an instruction booklet (very notable in 2018) and a “bonus mystery item that will be revealed soon.” Hmmm.
