In a 2017 interview, she was asked how she got into cosplaying. She said: “My mom actually got me into cosplay. She found a flyer for an anime convention, and it was like, “You like anime you should go check this out! And they have costume contests.” So I didn’t know how to sew at the time, so she made my first two costumes for me and I just absolutely fell in love with it. I learned how to sew and have been doing it ever since. Streaming was kind of an accident. I already established myself as a cosplayer, but it was like, “How can I find a way to interact with people more outside of conventions?” So I heard about streaming and I was like, “I can play video games and also talk to people from all over the world and get to know them better?” So I tried that out and loved it and have been doing it ever since.”
