More Side-Scrolling Action Movie Combat, You Say?
Welcome to part three jillion of our never-ending coverage of the great Nintendo Switch Indie Amalgamation! Today’s eventual acquisition is Bleed 2, the sequel to Digerati’s slo-mo, air-dodge, bullet buffet action extravaganza. The portable hybrid will have absorbed said game this March.
The premise of the game is rather simple: You play Wryn, the world’s last surviving hero, who must fight to save the world from an invading force. Yes, it’s not the most original story, but that’s not why we’re here. No, we’re here to kick major ass in a bevy of new and exciting ways. With the ability to shoot, dodge, reflect bullets and slow time simultaneously, there’s a lot of room for experimentation in combat. Most of your fighting will be done in an escalating series of boss fights. In fact, there’s more boss fights then there are levels!
In addition to all this highly-creative bullet-based fun, there’s a series of different modes you can mess around with. Arcade mode lets you take on the whole game with a single life. Challenge mode lets you fight three bosses at the same time. Endless mode pits you against a series of randomly-generated stages that presumably never end. If any of this appeals to your gaming sensibilities, Bleed 2 will be out on Nintendo Switch on March 8th, 2018. Check out the trailer for a better look at the action involved!
