Be Sure to Tune In Later Today
Nintendo has just teased a reveal for a “new interactive experience” for the Nintendo Switch today, one that looks to be aimed at kids. The reveal will be broadcast today at 2 PM PT/5 PM ET and appears to be separate from the company’s usual Nintendo Direct style.
Nintendo’s various social media accounts have also teased the mystery announcement — which will be broadcast on its website — including this one from Nintendo of Japan:

Over on the UK Nintendo site, it is urging fans to “tune in to discover a new interactive experience for Nintendo Switch that’s specifically crafted for kids and those who are kids at heart.”
As one may expect, Nintendo fans are in a tizzy over this tease. Nintendo is intentionally being vague about this announcement and it’s unclear whether this is a new game announcement, a piece of hardware, or something entirely new. Since this is aimed at kids, it’s likely that it won’t be related to the delayed Virtual Console service or online infrastructure.
Nintendo recently broadcast a new Nintendo Direct Mini on January 11th that announced a fair number of new games for the console/portable hybrid including updated ports of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Dark Souls: Remastered. We also got a release date announcement for Kirby: Star Allies.
We’re particularly intrigued by the “new interactive experience.” What do you think this could be? Let’s discuss in the comments below.
