Player Progress will Carryover to Purchases
When there are whole communities revolving around a single game, you know there’s longevity to it. This has been true of every Fallout game and it’s definitely true of Fallout 4, which is available to play this weekend for free. If you’re new to the game or the franchise, this is your next step in gaming.
Unforrunately—or fortunately, depending on your perspective—this free trial only applies to Xbox Live subscribers. Thus, obviously, it’s a free deal that only applies to Xbox One players. So long as you’re a Gold subscriber, you’ll have access to the full game. It is not known whether this applies to the DLC. Make no mistake; Nuka World and Far Harbor are fantastic add-ons, and there are many additional DLC to go along with the base game.
Speaking of DLC and the base game, Fallout 4 Game of the Year Edition is currently 40% off. That’s the full experience at a discounted price. An original $100 value is now vastly cheaper on Xbox One. And if you do decide to make that purchase, all your progress will transfer over. No love lost. You have until January 28th at 11:59 PM PST/January 29th, 2:59 AM EST/7:59 AM BST.
As we dive into 2018, stay tuned for more interesting news from Bethesda. We’re still waiting for news on Creation Club and a possible open-world IP.
