It Could Be Based on His Upcoming Superhero TV Show
It’s been awhile since Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has had anything to do with video games, but that doesn’t mean the famous rapper/actor/producer hasn’t been tinkering with new “unique” and “extreme” ideas.
In a new interview with GameSpot, 50 Cent was asked if he still has intentions to make a new video game. To which he said: “Definitely, I’m interested.”
“I just have to find the right concept,” he continued, while promoting his new movie, Den of Thieves. “Everything I touch, I want to be unique. I want it to be special. And I put thought into it because those things will be here longer than I would…when I come up with [another game], I want to make sure it’s something we enjoy for a long time.”
Jackson appears to already have an idea in mind, and it’s based on his latest Starz TV show, Tomorrow, Today. Tomorrow, Today is an upcoming superhero drama that stars Jackson as a military veteran who gains superpowers after being experimented on by a mad prison doctor. Not much is known about the show other than that it is still in development.
“It’s definitely a cool idea,” 50 Cent said. “And it gives people the ability to do things that they wouldn’t be able to do.”
Jackson has released two video games in his career thus far: 2005’s Bulletproof and 2009’s Blood on the Sand. While neither has been breakthrough successes, the latter has definitely earned the reputation of a cult classic.
His new movie, Den of Thieves, hit theatres on January 19th.
