Star Wars Battlefront 2 Doing Great Things With DLC Starting Next Month

Movie Tie-Ins And Weekly Events And War, Oh My!

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is coming on November 17th. While this is already great news for fans who hate waiting long periods of time for things, it gets better! New content will be rolling out for the game as early as December 13th.

Well, to be exact, the whole affair starts rolling out on December 5th. Players will be able to choose sides in the upcoming conflict between the Resistance and the First Order. Following that, Finn and Captain Phasma join their respective sides on December 13th. The fight will include challenges. Whichever faction completes more challenges ends up claiming special rewards, encouraging players to rally to their chosen side in battle.

The 13th will also bring new maps and vehicles tied into The Last Jedi. Crait and D’qar will make appearances, giving players two new locations for all that battling. Plus there will be a couple of character-specific ships available. Poe Dameron’s X-Wing will get some upgrades, while Tallie Lintra’s A-Wing will be unlocked. There will also be another chapter released for the single-player campaign. The plan is to continue rolling out content on a regular basis, with your faction choice affecting outcomes well into the future. All of this is a much better strategy than a Season Pass, which expects players to gamble money on the game being awesome for the foreseeable future. It also separates players into pass holders and non pass holders, which cuts down on potential opponents for you to murder. Hopefully this planned release schedule keeps this momentum well into 2018.
