SMT for Switch is Officially Shin Megami Tensei V
Atlus has finally shown off the mysterious “HD Project” SMT for Switch, which turned out to be Shin Megami Tensei V. The title, which is being developed with Unreal Engine 4, was given a quick trailer today during a live stream on Atlus’ site.
Unlike the PlayStation-centric Persona series, Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei series has many mainline titles on Nintendo consoles as its previous Shin Megami Tensei IV was on the 3DS while the series even gave the Wii U an interesting crossover between the hardcore JRPG dungeon-crawler series with another tough series, Fire Emblem, in Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE. In the trailer, we see Tokyo in ruins, ravaged by demons and ghouls. No real gameplay was shown as it was mostly cinematics, but hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long to see more of this title.
No release date has been given yet for Shin Megami Tensei V as we only currently know that’s coming to Switch.
