Bloodstained Makes It Just in Time for Halloween
The latest Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night development update gives fans new gameplay footage that shows off huge courtyard area and a boss battle against a human samurai named Zangestu.
In the Kickstarter update, creator and whip master, Koji Igarashi, commented on the new footage:
Courtyards are just as important to an IGAvania as castles, right? Maybe not? Well, this time the courtyard is a very important part of the game, and that’s why we’re sharing a look at this area.
Zangetsu is a samurai character we’ve previously announced. He resents anyone and anything tainted by demonic power. As a result, he’s hostile toward Miriam, whose existence is directly connected to the demon ritual. This is also a new stage we’re introducing for the first time.
Also, we get a funny look as Miriam finds a fur hat thing in the courtyard area before equipping it. Again, their menu UI looks legit! And, Zangetsu’s boss battle also looked refreshing as he came with a hookshot to jump around Miriam before getting the KO on her.
Here’s a look at all this new stuff below:
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is heading to PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, and PS Vita in the first half of 2018.
