Dark Souls-Inspired Horror RPG, Left-Hand Path, Launches on November 10th for VR

15+ Hour Horror RPG for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift

Strange Company has announced the release date Left-Hand Path, a new “Dark Souls-inspired room-scale” VR horror adventure with RPG elements. It will launch on November 10th for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift with Touch.

Left-Hand Path is being touted as a 15+ hour game and it puts the “power of magic” in players’ hands where they will explore magical worlds, learn gestures to cast spells, and perform ancient rituals. Some of the spells include flinging acid missiles, striking enemies with lightning attacks, raining meteors, conjuring an army of screaming skulls, and lots more.

Here’s the official synopsis:

“Players awaken in a cursed darkened castle with a tragic history full of never-before-seen creatures that are after your skin. Armed with arcane powers and a thirst for exploration, players must wield their newly-found powers and explore to find even more powerful spells and rituals, while trying to stay alive long enough to solve the mysteries of Well of All Rewards.”

According to its Steam page, Left-Hand Path is NOT a seated VR experience. You’ll be moving around a lot such as squatting to avoid a large axe, dodging arrows, and ducking to look into secret passages.
