Cuphead is a Platinium Hit
Studio MDHR once had to remortgage their homes as they took their E3 2015 build of Cuphead and worked on adding more to the game than just boss fights. All that hustle and polish paid off as the Toronto indie dev brothers celebrate an important milestone for the hardcore game hits 1M in sales. It’s good to see a game that’s been hyped since its 2014 reveal live up to its astronomical expectations.
“We have worked tirelessly over the past few years to deliver a game that remained true to our vision and we are both humbled and excited that so many people from around the world are playing Cuphead – it truly makes it all worth it,” Chad and Jared Moldenhauer shared on the studio’s site.
We gave Cuphead a glowing review as we found the game’s gorgeous hand-drawn animated graphics and the Contra-like gameplay to be an impressive combo.
