PUBG Corp Already Has Offices Around The World
What do you do when your game grows to a certain size? Do you celebrate? Are there parties? Or, do you make a big thing even bigger? PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is taking the last option, with a brand new corporation, aka PUBG Corp, started solely to grow the brand on an international level.
They’ve got offices in South Korea and the United States, with further expansions planned for Europe and Japan. I know, I know. Corporate expansion? Goodness, how dry. But think about it this way. How many games are so big they have corporations dedicated to making them bigger? Probably not that many. In fact, I would wager to guess that PUBG has joined something of an exclusive club, one normally reserved for players with a lot more brand weight to throw around. It’s kind of incredible that a game with such small roots has blown up to such gargantuan proportions, is it not?
Anyway, a bunch of high-powered big wigs who used to work for BlueHole now run PUBG’s corporation. Have you played PUBG yet? The odds are pretty good that you have, given that the game’s active player count on Steam usually hovers around 1.5 million. The game is still in early access, with an Xbox One release date coming up before the end of 2017.
