The Godly Game of Viking Management Returns via Console
Thanks to Kalypso media, Daedalic Entertainment’s spectacularly crafted strategy game, Valhalla Hills, is coming to console. Fulfill the role of a Viking god who must lead his people to their mythic haven. Achieves this by building and fighting your way to Odin’s hall.
But this is not simply a return. Kalypso is bringing the game back as Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition. It includes all DLC packs: ‘Sand of the Damned’ and ‘Fire Mountains’ – as well as a new exclusive map type – ‘The Dwarf Cave.’
You are Leko, youngest son of the All-Father. Cast from your home above, your sole purpose is rescuing recently-deceased Vikings from limbo. Simply put, dead warriors can’t find their proper resting place in Valhalla without your help.
And this is no run-of-the-mill RTS. Players play guide in the truest sense; there is no direct control over Vikings. In true god fashion, you inform, influence, and steer your dead worshippers toward the best course. Simply sustain them by equipping, feeding, and gathering resources. Then immerse yourself in the randomly-generated maps, day and night cycles, and stunning 3D graphics powered by Unreal Engine 4.
In sum, here’s what players can expect from Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition:
- Build and manage a thriving Viking settlement with over 35 buildings
- Conquer massive mountainside landscapes and face dangerous foes like Ice Giants, Lava Crawler or Mummies.
- Play on snow-covered slopes, barren sand dunes, fiery volcanos or in gloomy caves.
- The console versions include the DLC ‘Sand of the Damned’ and ‘Fire Mountains’, as well as a new exclusive map type – ‘The Dwarf Cave’.
- Randomly generated maps, day and night cycles and a well-balanced economic system provide endless challenges and variety.
Starting April 28, players can pick up boxed copies of Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition for PS4 and Xbox One; alternatively, anyone can download it via the PlayStation Store or Xbox Games Store. For more details, simply visit kalypsomedia.com.
