So Long as Delays Lead to the Best Gaming Experience, We’re Okay
To the fans who eagerly anticipated the retro return of video games’ top hedgehog, we have sad news. Apparently, the release of Sonic Mania has been pushed back. While we don’t really know the reason why, pre-order buyers received their own message from Amazon.
“Hello,
We have received new release date information to your pre-ordered video game. The release date for the video game listed below has been changed by the publisher, and we want to provide you with a new delivery estimate based on the new release date:
“Sonic Mania Playstation 4”
Estimated arrival date: September 04, 2017.
We’ll make every effort to get the delayed items to you as soon as possible.”
Whereas the initial release date for Sonic Mania entailed Spring, it has now reached Autumn. This marks the game’s second push back after being pushed from Spring to Summer. Thus, releases for PC, PS4, and Xbox One have been updated accordingly. We haven’t yet ascertained a release date for the Switch.
Sonic Manica is being developed by Headcannon and PagodaWest Games in collaboration with Sega and Christian Whitehead; it includes reimagined classics in conjunction with new zones for players to experience. Along with a variety of levels, everyone has access to three nostalgic characters: Sonic, knuckles, and Tails.
Since the release date is constantly being pushed back, we can, at the least, expect a better product. Let us know your own thoughts about the pushback of Sonic Mania. Were you one of the pre-orderers? Comment down below. Then be sure to check back for updates, news, and revelations. Happy gaming.
