For Honor’s Faction War Is about to Get Bigger
With everything they have implemented thus far, Ubisoft is updating the whole of For Honor with Season 2: Shadow and Might. This major update will deliver two new classes and expand the Faction War with two new maps. Beginning May 16, the battlefield broadens. Get a glimpse in the new teaser trailer below:
The two new classes include Samurai’s Shinobi and Knights’ Centurion, assassin and hybrid class respectively:
- Shinobi (Samurai Assassin) – The Shinobi are silent warriors able to move with a dancer’s grace and kill with precision thanks to a lifetime of disciplined training. They wield the traditional Japanese Kusarigama.
- Centurion (Knight Hybrid) – The Centurion sees the battlefield like a chessboard. Equipped with the reliable standard issue gladius, Centurions can bypass enemy defenses through strategic close-quarters combat.
Then there are the two new maps – Forge and Temple Garden. Variety is good, but we won’t know more about these blood-stained areas until release. Additionally, For Honor shall witness a new gear rarity in “Epic” gear. But, with the arrival of new heroes and gear, Ubisoft is taking steps to maintain combat balance. Which is why they’re overhauling the entire gear stats system. After a three-week off-season grace period, the Faction War will reset on May 16.
And PC players who haven’t played since the end of Season One should experience better network stability, as well as gameplay changes and hero balancing. These come as part of update 1.6; yet, more updates and patches are still to come.
Players who own the Season Pass gain access to the new heroes on May 16, when Season 2 rolls out. Starting May 23rd, players with enough Steel can unlock the heroes in-game.With all these changes arriving and implemented post-launch, what are your thoughts on For Honor? Comment down below.
