Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels Expansion Gets Street Date, Screens and New Trailer
Earlier this year, we reviewed the most recent Forza Horizon 3 expansion called Blizzard Mountain. In our review we said: “While it’s a bit disappointing this expansion wasn’t included in the pricey Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition, I’d say the added cost is worth it for fans of Forza Horizon 3 looking for some new content.” Today, Playground Games and Microsoft Studios announced the next expansion for Forza Horizon 3 will be launching on May 9th, 2017. The expansion, which is based on the popular toy car franchise Hot Wheels, will be launching on both Xbox One and PC.
The Hot Wheels Expansions will include a new location including six new islands. These islands will be connected by the traditional orange Hot Wheels tracks we all know and love.
The new expansion will also include the following cars:
- 1969 Hot Wheels Twin Mill
- 2011 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker
- 2012 Hot Wheels Rip Rod
- 2005 Hot Wheels Ford Mustang
- 2016 Jeep Trailcat
- 2016 Zenvo ST1
- 2007 Toyota Hilux Arctic Trucks AT38
- 2010 Pagani Zonda R
- 1972 Chrysler VH Valiant Charger R/T E49
Twenty-eight new Xbox Achievements can also be earned once the Hot Wheels Expansion hits, for a total of 500 Gamerscore. Microsoft also confirmed that when the expansion launches, a new patch will be sent out for the Windows 10 version, which will include a number of new options and bug fixes.

Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels arrives on May 9 on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. It is available now as part of the Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass or as a standalone purchase for $19.99.
