Breath of the Wild World Map has been Uncovered

Full World Map with Shrine Locations Already Up on GameFAQs

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is out in two days. That means we’ll be seeing a lot of early review scores, and a lot of spoilers.

Breath of the Wild gameplay

Famitsu’s review of the newest Zelda game is in, and it’s good news: they awarded the game 40/40, a perfect score. This isn’t the first time a Zelda game has gotten perfect marks with the publication. Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker and Skyward Sword also got perfect scores. This information undercuts the value of such high marks, but it’s an encouraging sign nonetheless. At least Breath of the Wild is looking like a terrific Zelda game, if not a terrific game altogether.

In spoiler news, a user at GameFAQs has uploaded images of the game’s full world map. There are no annotations or markings included, but Helsionium (the user in question) has already deciphered some useful information. Listed in the same post is a huge chunk of shrine locations. The list isn’t complete, but it’s still an impressive showing for a game that isn’t out yet. Spoilers ahoy, of course, so click at your own risk. If you’re one of those players who likes to go in prepared, then this is excellent news. Perhaps some early recon can be done, to determine where you’ll head first? The map confirms what has been promised for months, namely that Breath of the Wild has an incredible amount of places to explore.
