Not Only Are New Nintendo IPs on the Way, some “Out of the Box” Software Ideas Will Be Coming to the Nintendo Switch
If you’re someone who’s been intently following the progress of the Nintendo Switch, then the new Nintendo IPs that will be rolling out may not be news to you. However, along with these new IPs, Nintendo also plans to bring some “out of the box” ideas to their beloved Switch. A Japanese magazine had a conversation with Nintendo’s General Manager of EPD, Shinya Takahashi, where they discussed the Nintendo Switch’s upcoming software plans.
Without going into too many details, NintendoEverything‘s translation of the discussion stated that he confirmed the new Nintendo IP as well as new endeavors of taking advantage of the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers.
He also stated that Nintendo is stressing the importance on “out of the box” ideas, much like Brain Age, and the development of indie games like Snipperclips. The importance of titles that will take advantage of the Joy-Con are vital to Nintendo’s success and will help it stand apart as a console.
While we won’t be getting another Brain Age (at least for now), the promise of new IPs that will truly utilize the Nintendo’s features are certainly exciting. What do you think Nintendo has in store for gamers? Let us know in the comments below!
