More Switch Goodness, After Some Teasing is Now Official
Today Square Enix has officially announced the collection of the first three Seiken Densetsu titles coming to Switch this year.
The collection includes:
- Final Fantasy Gaiden: Seiken Densetsu (known in the west as Final Fantasy Adventure) – Game Boy on June 28, 1991
- Seiken Densetsu 2 (known in the west as Secret of Mana) – Super Famicom on August 6, 1993
- Seiken Densetsu 3 – Super Famicom on September 30, 1995
Furthermore, Seiken Densetsu 2 and Seiken Densetsu 3 will allow you to team up in multiplayer with a friend. Additionally, some other new features are included in this new version, such as quick-save (allows you to save anywhere during gameplay), Music Mode (lets you listen to the music of each game from the home screen) and Screen Change Mode (lets you choose from several screen sizes).
There was no mention of a western release, but it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise. Both, Final Fantasy Adventure and Secret of Mana were previously released in the west, leaving Seiken Densetsu 3 as the only title that never made it outside of Japan.
Seiken Densetsu Collection will launch physically and digitally exclusively for Nintendo Switch in Japan on June 1st and cost 4,800 yen (around $43). Stay tuned to COGConnected for more on Seiken Densetsu and all things Final Fantasy.
