There’s a Troll in This PlayStation Dungeon and it Dwells in Italy
Few people probably thought March 3rd would be a big day for Sony. It’s a big day for many people, but probably not for the reasons they advertise, depending on who you ask. The distributor found their humorous way of utilizing Nintendo Switch’s release by slyly drawing attention elsewhere. See what the Hades we’re talking about in the image below:

In case you don’t understand Italian, the answer is no; the Nintendo Switch is not being advertised in the red square. But it definitely looks like it would be, doesn’t it? The Nintendo Switch-colored square says, “Tommorrow is a special day for the world of gaming,” followed by the words in evocative PS4 colors and logo, “PS4 is yours at only €199,99.” The tweet even supplements the advertising by saying, “Even tomorrow, make the right choice. PlayStation 4 always knows how to surprise you.”
Is this an underhanded tactic by PlayStation Italy? Even if it is, someone has to admit it’s pretty funny. You might even say it’s downright genius. The advertisement points to how the PS4 will be sliced 33.3% off across multiple European countries for March 3rd only. Hard to imagine a more cunning way to divert attention away from the Nintendo Switch launch. Leave it to PlayStation. Even so, PlayStation UK took to twitter to formally congratulate Nintendo for releasing its innovative console to the public.
WOW! Congratulations to @NintendoUK. Whatever adventure you go on this weekend, what an amazing time for gaming! pic.twitter.com/QXbZSc1jsA

It is easy to note why both major companies are in celebratory moods. Albeit, one might be having more trollish fun than the other. But Nintendo has its mega huge launch and PlayStation can celebrate the major success of its PS4 exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn. Both will look back to this period for years to come.
But speaking of Sony and Nintendo, you can read our own in-depth reviews – Horizon Zero Dawn here and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild here, and you’ll see that we are biased to no particular console. We even provide additional info in the form of a Nintendo Switch review. But before then, do feel free to drop a comment and let us know your thoughts about this trolling by PlayStation Italy. Happy March 3rd!
