Persona 5 DLC Prices Revealed, Are Predictably High

Persona 5 DLC Adds Up to More than the Cost of the Game

Atlus has revealed the price points and release dates for all of the Persona 5 DLC. In keeping with the trend set by many Japanese games, the costs can quickly add up. In fact, if you’re interested in purchasing everything available for Persona 5, it will get more expensive than the actual game.

This isn’t a new practice, exactly. Street Fighter V has DLC costs that add up to the price of the game, and Gal Gun: Double Peace offered a single item costing almost twice what the base game did. Well, that last item was something of an exception to the rule. The point is that this sort of practice with the DLC has precedent.

Here’s the complete list of what will be available, in case you’re curious:

  • Catherine Costume and BGM Set – 5/2/17 – $6.99
  • Izanagi and Izanagi Picaro Set – 4/11/17 – $2.99
  • Persona 4 Costume and BGM Special Set – 4/11/17 – $6.99
  • Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha Costume and BGM Special Set – 5/2/17 – $6.99
  • Persona 5 Swimsuit Set – 4/25/17 – Free
  • Persona 4: Dancing All Night Costume and BGM Special Set – 4/25/17 – $6.99
  • Shin Megami Tensie: Persona Costume and BGM Special Set – 4/18/17 – $6.99
  • Persona 2 Costume and BGM Special Set – 4/18/17 – $6.99
  • Shin Megami Tensei IV Costume and BGM Special Set – 4/25/17 – $6.99
  • Orpheus and Orpheus Picaro Set – 4/11/17 – $2.99

  • Persona 3 Costume and BGM Special Set – 4/11/17 – $6.99
  • Kaguya and Kaguya Picaro Set – 4/18/17 – $2.99

Again, this is a lot, but not an unusual amount of money to be possibly spending on bonus content. Persona 5 will be out for PS3 and PS4 on April 4, 2017.
