The last campaign DLC for Homefront: The Revolution, Beyond the Wall, was released today, and along with it, a free trial for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players. Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver also announced that there is now PS4 Pro support for the game. For anyone who has been on the fence about the game, it looks like now might just be the time to try Homefront: The Revolution!
This free trial version of Homefront: The Revolution gives players the opportunity to play through the first chapter of the campaign which is about 4 hours of single player gameplay. The free trial also allows players to have unlimited access to the online cooperative game mode Resistance. This is a significant portion of the game, that now Xbox One and PS4 players can take part in worldwide. Along with this free trial, there is also a PS4 pro patch which allows Homefront: The Revolution to be played in 4k resolution. This patch also adds HDR support, and a better frame rate.
The final DLC, Beyond The Walls, is the last piece of the campaign available now for$12.99 for anyone who did not purchase the game expansion pass. The DLC takes place in a totally new environment located in rural Pennsylvania. The developers released a description of this DLC premise stating, “It begins with the final stronghold of the Resistance, Philadelphia, about to fall to the counter-insurgency might of the KPA. With the second American Revolution seemingly crushed, a glimmer of light appears in the darkness. A NATO agent attempts to contact the Resistance with information that could lead to the end of the nightmarish regime of the KPA. This is your final chance to free America, but will the KPA find you before you get the chance?”
Along with this DLC description, there is also an exciting video that showcases the changes brought to the game by the Spring update. This new DLC content, Beyond The Walls, is free to everyone with the Homefront: Revolution Expansion Pass. You can check this video, as well as some DLC screenshots, out below.
