Sony is powering through 2017, working its way through dynamite exclusives. Now’s the time for Gran Turismo Sport to shine, considering the company now has a window to focus on their anticipated racing title. Although this latest look at gameplay comes off-screen, it gives us an unadulterated view off the track. Get a look down below:
Our anticipation for Gran Turismo Sport is building by the day, perhaps even more so since the game has faced delay. But it’s no wonder devs extended the initial 2016 release; they aim to deliver a polished game and a premium experience. For that same reason, Sony announced its partnership with TAG Heuer at the Geneva Motor Show. In conjunction with a diverse array of vehicles and aesthetic raceways, Gran Turismo Sport will have precise timing – A layer of immersion for the fans.
“On the 8th of March 2017, at the TAG Heuer booth at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show, it was announced that TAG Heuer would be the official timekeeper for Gran Turismo Sport. TAG Heuer will appear as the official timekeeper and official watch of Gran Turismo Sport in all areas of the game, and TAG Heuer’s Live Timing technology will be used to provide players with an experience that’s just the same as real motor racing.
Expect to learn more about Gran Turismo Sport and a release date in the days to come. So far, we know there will be 140 cars to race upon release and that the game supports HDR gameplay. Perhaps Horizon: Zero Dawn and GTS demonstrate Sony’s trend towards 4K graphics and PS4 Pro promotion. We’ll see as time goes by.
